Michael is in the final year of his history degree at Cambridge University. He hopes to earn a career in journalism, preferably as a sports journalist.

Robin Ancilotto is an Italian living between Cape Town and Rome. She enjoys travelling, writing and good food. Her dream is to make a job out of her passions.

Lene is studying at a High School in Denmark, she watches way too many movies and loves chocolate! At some point in the future, she hopes to return to Africa again.

Diane Baron is studying journalism in Paris. She devotes her life to sports, hugs and hot chocolate, and is determined to marry a well-built rugby player.

Katherine Barry, from Denver, Colorado, USA, is a recent graduate of Loyola University Chicago with a degree in Communication Studies. She enjoys excellent adventures, particularly road trips, and hopes that she will one day find a job that will her allow her the luxury of world travel.

Stefan is from Barrie Ontario, in Canada.In his spare time his hobbies include snowboarding and hitting the town. His goal is to break into the field of print journalism with topics varying from sport to politics. He has found his second home here in South Africa!

Laureen is 21 years old. She is studying Political Science in Lille. She devotes her life to travelling, molten lava cake and literature. She found Cape Town to be very beautiful.

Clare has just graduated in Law, but aspires to be an entertainment journalist. She has been inspired by the beautiful Mother City and its amazing people, and hopes to return to South Africa in the near future.

23-year-old Sophie is on the verge of graduating with a Nutritional Science degree. She lives to travel and is still hoping to go on the perfect safari!

Merle (21) studies Political Sciences at Maastricht University, but aspires to become a journalist. She loved the food in Cape Town, especially the Saturdays at The Old Bisquit Mill!

Tim has enjoyed his time with the Cape Chameleon and now returns to his homeland to continue his studies of philosophy and international relations at the University of Illinois.

Kelvin (18) is definitely a guy to laugh with, that’s why you’ll mostly find him in a good mood. When he finishes school, he looks forward to spending a gap year abroad.

Elizabeth recently graduated from Lancaster University and is taking a gap year. She’s only meant to be in Cape Town for a month but is very tempted to ‘lose’ her passport and stay forever!

Artur Caracciolo was born in Rome 25 years ago. He likes to write and ask questions, that’s why after University he chose to pursue journalism, but don't take him too seriously.

Having just graduated in English, Creative Writing & Media Studies at Chichester University, Hannah is making the most of her freedom before heading back to the real world and getting a grown-up job.

Elena work is an investigative journalist and was the gadget girl in the office! Friends say that she always chases politicians to answer people’s questions, whether they like it or not.

Melanie loves photography, climbing and travelling. Studying tourism in France and always looking for new experiences, she decided to fly to Cape Town to discover another way of life. As a French-speaker, it was also a challenge and a good way to perfect her English!

After finishing her history studies, Julie will go to journalism school. The most important people are her five brothers and sisters, her parents, her grandmother and her friends.

Kelly Easton has always lived in laid-back Cape Town. Although a qualified journalist, she finds a pleasure in playing the piano and drums. She also has her black belt in karate.

Back home, Daniel (19) is studying journalism. During his three months in Cape Town he fell in love with the city – especially with the minibus taxis. As one of the tallest guys in the Mother City, travelling on them was an enjoyable challenge every day.

Vincent has just graduated in journalism in Paris. Addicted to sports, his goal is to become a sport journalist. He is also interested in environmental issues and currently writes about this topic for specialised websites.

Working at the Cape Chameleon , Emilie is combining her interest in foreign cultures with her joy of writing. She finished her BA in Anthropology in 2011 and is going to attend a master in transcultural communication when she returns to her home country, Denmark.

After recently completing her A-Levels, Philippa is taking a gap year before studying English and History at university. She has fallen in love with the beauty of Cape Town, discovering that one month to explore is not nearly enough time!

Jikke is completing her final year college studying media. Her favourite place in Cape Town was the Biscuit Mill where she tasted the best pancakes in the world!

Edd enjoys writing and is hoping for a future in the film industry. Edd spent two months last summer working at a Sri Lankan tsunami camp for Projects Abroad.

After graduating in Communications and writing for several German newspapers, Franziska fulfils her dream of travelling to foreign countries outside of Europe. She’ll return to Berlin to do a masters in Literature.

Tosin Omilaju lives in London and is studying law. She is passionate about creativity and loves to write and sing. She hopes to travel to every continent by the age of 25 and become a black belt in karate.

Matteo a 23-year-old student at the Catholic University of Milan, soon to graduate in Political Science & International Relations. He really enjoys writing but is also passionate about sports: basketball, surfing, snowboarding and, from the experience in Cape Town, also sandboarding.

After an apprehensive start with Cape Chameleon, Samantha grew to love Cape Town and the kindness of its people.

Giulia is studying journalism & publishing at the University of Genova. She loves travelling and taking pictures of different places. She most enjoyed the multicultural aspect of Cape Town.

Kirsty is a freelance journalist specialising in sustainable urban development issues. She has written in publications for UN-Habitat, the UCLG and the British Commonwealth, and has also worked with The World Bank, UNESCO and recently written in a UK Guardian newspaper supplement. She spent three weeks getting her hands dirty on the Projects Abroad building project and then donned her journo hat again to help out on Cape Chameleon.

Angelo is a Journalism student and has a passion for dancing. He considers writing to be like dancing: an expression of freedom, but with responsibility.

Claire-Marine Varin was born in medieval Brussels. The anti-stereotype, she doesn’t eat chocolate but is a milk tart addict. She loves to sing and write and hopes to one day travel the world.

Aurèlie worked as a social worker for four years, but began a Master's degree in social sciences last year. She hopes to combine her journalistic passion with the social aspect of her training.

After her History studies, Virginie wants to go to Journalism school. She devotes her free time to dance, watching films and meeting friends… and she loves South Africa as much as she loves chocolate.

Swana is working for a daily newspaper and would like to become a journalist. She loved the unique landscape of Cape Town, the milk tart and the bedlam of the mini-buses. She hopes to return one day.

Leslie Wells is a Canadian graduate student who has temporarily fled to Cape Town to escape the pretentious world of high-brow academics. She is passionate about grassroots politics, community empowerment, indie music and the life-long pursuit of the perfect taco. In the future, she hopes to work in the non-profit sector and become a vuvuzela virtuoso.

Calum (19) came to South Africa after finishing college. His time in Cape Town enabled him to combine his love of travelling, writing and watching sport.
