In first world countries, iPads, videogames and electronic toys are no rarity in most homes. Yet often, the more stuff children have, the less satisfied they are.
In Ghana, the children don’t have much, but guess what? They are all so happy. Despite their limited access to toys and games, you can always see them having fun with whatever they do have.
After spending a month volunteering at schools, daycare centres and orphanages, I noticed one similarity – despite an impoverished background, all the children had smiles across their faces.
